Normally the spring market begins around March 15th and lasts through Memorial Day here in the Northern Virginia and Prince William County Virginia area.
Well.....not this year!
The phone started ringing before Christmas and hasn't stop. Our January calendar has been filled everyday with appointments with homeowners who want to sell and home buyers who want to buy.
The fear that interest rates are predicted to rise in 2015 is inspiring many home buyers and sellers to make a move. The low, low interest rates available right now are just to good to pass up. We have witnessed thirty year fixed rate loans at the three and half percent range. If rates climb even one percent that can really affect one's buying power. Not to mention in many price points affordable homes are dwindling. So waiting may not be anyone's best option.
The activity level is brisk. At least for us. Thankfully there are two of us. Patty Blackwelder helps the home buyers.
