I saw this new post online the other day and thought it might be of interest to those of you who commute to work everyday to Alexandria Virginia,.How many times have you said to yourself, " There has to be an easier way to get to work!". Well starting on October 19th, 2010 you wish is coming true. There is a new slug line from Woodbridge, Virginia directly to Alexandria Virginia.

Now before you say, "I just don't see myself slugging to work. Keep in mind this is a FREE commuting option for you. Yes, I said FREE!" You pick up the ride at the Woodbridge Virginia VRE Station off Rt 1 near Belmont Bay and your ride takes you to Eisenhower Ave Metro or to the King Street VRE/Metro station..

This is a great info Peggy. For so many, the trade off for the affordable housing in Prince William County has been a longer commute. This is one more solution to that problem.
So many commuters head down I-95 toward the Pentagon, however for those that have to go to Eisenhower Avenue area, or Old Town Alexandria, this may prove to be a wonderful option. The best part it is FREE.
I ran into one of my past buyers who purchased a townhouse here in Lake Ridge Virginia. He said "Peggy, it takes me less time to get to work downtown from Lake Ridge Virgina that it did when I lived in the Del Ray section of Alexandria." When I asked why he said," in Alexandria, Arlington you have to fight the lights to get home and the volume or traffic. Now I just SLUG and it is amazing how fast I get to work. It is far less stressful and FREE! "
Now that's a recommendation for trying the Slug Line.
