We call them "Spec" homes up here in the Albany market and we don't have any builders putting them up. Your market must being doing okay if they are building them without a buyer committed.

Hi Lewis, we call them "spec homes" as well. However the consumer doesn't always know the Realtor and Builder term. Our area has recovered quite a bit since we hit bottom in 2008. Some builders seem to be testing the waters a bit. Currently I know where there are several immediate delivery homes. And if someone can wait a few months, there is a custom home with a main level master bedroom and a three car garage that has the foundation laid already. That one could be ready by Christmas!
