When someone calls and says they are looking for a waterfront home, they don't mean water-view or water access. Well at least that has been my experience. Most are boaters who want deep water access, a dock and or a marina right near by. They want a home that offers a stunning view, sensational sunsets and all of the joys of owning on the water. For some that it the ultimate dream waterfront home. In the Northern Virginia area we have some amazing waterfront opportunities.

I did a search for waterfront homes in Alexandria Virginia and the results shows their are 57 active waterfront homes available between $500,000 and 5 Million Dollars. Another place to find waterfront homes is the Lorton Area. A quiet gem of a community is called Hollowing Point. From Rt 1 you take Pohick Rd east toward the river and you will wind up at Hollowing Point. View Here
So what about Prince William County Virginia? Prince William County Virginia saddles the Potomac River and has many wonderful waterfront communities and even small waterfront village called Occoquan Virginia and a thriving newer waterfront community called Belmont Bay. Belmont Bay is a stunning waterfront community with it's own marina. You won't want to miss seeing this community if you are in the area. Homes range in size from 1200 square foot condo's priced in the $200,000 price range up to $650,000 for the most expensive larger detached homes. These are the Belmont Bay options heading into August 2011.
